About Us

“Live life comfortably and uniquely.”

It all began with a plate collection, inherited by Six10 Modern’s founders Paul & Gina Ciolli, from Paul’s Grandmother, Clara Belle. Since the 1920s, Clara Belle collected beautiful plates and cherished the unique history of each one. So much so, she wrote down the story of each plate when she passed much of the collection on to Paul & Gina. Several of the pieces Clara Belle collected were the modern trends of the time that she enjoyed over the passing years. And today, these plates are a source of many family memories, displayed and used, proudly throughout their home and a serve as a reflection of an enriched history.

In that spirit of collecting treasures to one day become family heirlooms, Gina has focused on her passion for modern furniture. After designing her own home, Gina now helps others create a unique ambiance for their homes through Six10 Modern. We are committed to providing high quality, beautifully designed furniture from leading modern furniture designers that can be part of your family’s memories for multiple generations. We believe furniture allows you to express your personality and to create boundless memories with those closest to you, essentially, making a home feel like home!

Six10 Modern sources from contemporary designers who follow in the footsteps of legendary names in the modern design movement such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles Eames, Frances Knoll Bassett, Herman Miller and Hans Wegner. Additionally our restoration line, Revive, preserves the history of each of its pieces while adding a contemporary update.

About Paul and Gina Ciolli

Gina & Paul’s Journey to Six10 Modern

Paul Ciolli grew up in a family where furniture was passed down and used from generation to generation. The appreciation for preserving a piece of the past became its own family tradition. In addition, Paul’s grandmother, Clara Belle Mitchell, saved all of her dishes in hopes that they would be passed along as a keepsake of history. It was a diverse assortment, made up from inherited pieces, with some originating in Europe alongside some from the U.S., with others from wedding gifts and even random pieces that had been picked up at yard sales through the years.

When you marry the spouse, you marry the family. Before she passed away, Clara Belle spoke about where each piece had come from. This had a profound effect on Paul and even more so on Gina. Hearing the stories gave these items a unique and special meaning beyond their utilitarian purpose.

Gina Ciolli, the more practical of the two – a finance major who directs a busy surgical practice – went to Round Top for the first time in an effort to connect with these founding principles. Frankly, she didn’t get it. Until, she met someone who told her that “every girl should collect a dish and build a home surround by treasures that will last through the generations”. This connected with the meaning she had gleaned from the stories of Clara Belle’s dishes and furniture of the family. And a passion to share this vision with others emerged.

In 2015, Paul and Gina decided to build a home and fell in love with mid-century modern furnishings. They realized they would have to go out and find the specific items they were looking for and, ultimately, found so many unique pieces, they began sharing their finds with others.

Building and furnishing their own home inspired Paul and Gina to find furniture that spoke to its unique personality, that could also be passed down through generations. Their criteria? Find furniture that’s built to last, gradually combining the new alongside those with vintage impact. Not everything has to match and be a part of a set, after all. They also like to incorporate the indoor with the outdoor, and emphasize that the outdoor should be just as important considering the amount of time spent enjoying outdoor living spaces.

Paul and Gina are guided by the notion of the stories that are behind furniture and the stories you create with furniture. The knowledge that quality furniture has that type of impact on people – for it to become family heirlooms by keeping the memories alive, or through being exceptional pieces of furniture creating a unique and exceptional space has driven them to create Six10 Modern.

About Kimberlee Taylor

Six10 Modern would like to introduce another key team member, Kimberlee Taylor. She spent much of her life living on a military base in Germany and her parents took a keen interest in exposing her to the historical surroundings. Her mother and father both enjoyed antiquing and participating in a German tradition called “Junking” where at the first of the month everyone would gather in the neighborhoods and place their belongings outside that they wanted to give away or sell. Fast forward, Kim, while working, met Gina and they became best friends from the start. Gina and Paul introduced Kim to Round Top, “World’s Largest Antiques Fair”, bringing her back to her roots and the love of the hunt was renewed. It was a natural progression to add her to Six10 Modern where the passion for modern and vintage came together.

“In addition to working for a company with a mission steeped in preserving tradition and providing quality pieces that can last through the generations, I relish the opportunity to collaborate with my best friend, Gina!” – Kim
